Next month PubMed will be updating several features:

~ You will see a link to your Clipboard on PubMed's homepage (if you have items already in your Clipboard)
~ The Limits page will be updated: there will be more options for the search field as well as the date limits

~ External links – these pages are not optimized for mobile; they are “regular” Web pages
~ Interactive tutorials – Flash doesn’t work on many mobile devices
~ Some licensed content – we’ll work on adding in the future"

Toxic Agents Database Updated

From the National Library of Medicine, "Haz-Map is an occupational health database designed for health and safety professionals and for consumers seeking information about the health effects of exposure to chemicals and biologicals at work. Haz-Map links jobs and hazardous tasks with occupational diseases and their symptoms. It is one of the products and services made available by the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Toxicology and Environmental Health Information Program." Haz-Map database was recently updated to include 265 more agents.

Epocrates - New Drug Database

The new drug database, Epocrates, is available through the FIU Medical Library.

Epocrates Online drug and disease reference provides:

• Access to extensive disease database
• Dosing for 3,300+ brand and generic drugs
• MultiCheck drug interaction checker
• Hundreds of brand name OTC drug products*
• 600 alternative medicines, including interactions*
• Pill identifier*
• Hundreds of calculators and clinical criteria*
