Getting the best out of a Google Search
When using Google to locate community demographic information, .gov sites will be some of the most reliable.  To narrow down your Google search to .gov try the following search strategy:

"miami gardens" site:gov

If you are looking for a phrase, put the phrase in quotes.  Adding site:gov will also limit your results to .gov sites only.

Another search to try is “community profiles” “city name here”

Public Libraries
Try the public libraries ( in the specific neighborhoods.  When calling, make sure you ask for a reference librarian.  The Main library also has a Florida Collection department – their direct line is 305-375-5023
FIU Library Catalog
The FIU library (not just the Medical Library, but the library as a whole) may have a book or other resource related to your neighborhood.

Information on Schools

Crime and other City Information
